MarketComm President Stern Dixon Serves on Boy Scout Council Marketing Committee

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 04, 2002 -- MarketComm President Stern Dixon is serving on the marketing committee for the Mecklenburg County Council Boy Scouts of America. Dixon, a member of the council Executive Board, works with the local Scout council to plan promotional strategies, develop membership recruitment efforts and consult on media relations.

"The Mecklenburg Scout Council is one of the strongest council~s in the nation," Dixon said. "The council currently serves nearly 27 percent of all available youth in the county in programs such as Boy Scouting, Cub Scouting, Venturing and Learning for Life.

"Scouting has been around for almost 100 years and has had a tremendous impact on the world."
Dixon also serves as Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 118 sponsored by St. Stephen United Methodist Church..
