MarketComm Completes Web Site for Johnson & Wales University~s Charlotte Campus

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- MarketComm launched a new web site today for Johnson & Wales University to provide information about its new Charlotte Campus.

Johnson & Wales officials announced publicly today they would establish a new campus in Charlotte to open in 2004. The campus is expected to attract over 3,000 students within three years of opening date and pump $80 million into the local economy.

MarketComm developed a separate web site linked to the University~s main site to provide information on the move for the news media, current and prospective students on other Johnson & Wales campuses, faculty and staff, employers, and alumni.

The site features an elaborate content management system which allows University staff to easily post news releases and add frequently asked questions in a variety of categories.

The site was developed on a fasttrack schedule of three weeks to be ready when the June 20 announcement was made. Because the move to Charlotte would involve the consolidation of two existing smaller campuses, the project was also highly confidential.

Involved in the project also were Carolina Public Relations/Marketing, Inc., of Charlotte, Objectiv Studios of San Francisco, and Cuban Council of London, GB..
